Product Review: Basa Body – All Natural Coconut Oil Body Lotion

I love hearing about products that are natural and have a story behind them so when I had the opportunity to review the Basa Body lotion, I of course jumped on the opportunity!  This lotion is very moisturizing, but also lightweight so it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on your skin.  As with many quality body products, a little bit goes a long way.

About the Product and Company:

All Basa Body products are made with Virgin Organic Coconut Oil that is easily absorbed into the skin and has natural antioxidants that are antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antifungal. Basa Body products help promote healing and give skin a healthier, youthful appearance.

Product Review: Slice, Inc.

I had the opportunity to try out the entire line of Slice, Inc. products, and let me tell you there wasn’t a single one that I don’t love!  I’m still waiting to try out a few of them as they aren’t tools that I use often in the kitchen, but I definitely need to start as it would mean that we’re eating at least a little bit healthier!

Out of all of the products, I would have to say that my favorite so far is the Precision Cutter.  I was able to use it when I was putting paper down on the shelves in my cupboards, to open packages, shrink wrap and more!  It’s also great for things like scrapbooking because you can cut very precisely with it.  The nifty cap on it makes it great to throw it in my checked luggage when I’m traveling because you never know when you might need to open something!  How often have we all been stuck without something to use while we’re traveling?

Product Review: Skinn Cosmetics Olive & Enzyme Rich Balm Cleanser

I had the opportunity to try out the Skinn Cosmetics Olive & Enzyme Rich Balm Cleanser and it is now my favorite nighttime cleanser!!  I love how rich and creamy it is when I’m taking my makeup off at the end of a long day.  It smells absolutely yummy and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.

About the product:
Don’t let the orangey dreamsicle-like aroma fool you – Skinn Cosmetics Olive & Enzyme Rich Balm Cleanser is one very effective complexion cleanser. This decadently thick, water-free, super-rich, night-time cleansing balm is the ultimate in skin luxury, and is priced less than most leading department store brands.

Product Review: BrytonPick – FLOSS In Seconds

I was given the opportunity to try out the BrytonPick!  I typically don’t floss because it’s very difficult to find a product that doesn’t have flavoring, and therefore artificial sweeteners, in it so I was very excited to give this a try!  It’s a great little item that comes with a pouch so that you can keep it in your pocket or purse and use it anywhere!  It’s reusable for up to 30 days and does a great job!!!

Book Review: The Catasy by Rexanne Mancini

I was thrilled to receive an autographed copy of The Catasy from the author Rexanne Mancini.  Rexanne is a long time family friend, and I remember thinking, “I hope her book is good so that I don’t have to feel bad telling her it’s not.”  It was an amazing read!  Very honestly written and brings you through a rollercoaster of emotions!  While I have not experienced most of what is in the book, there are many that can relate very well to the decisions that are made in The Catasy.   It is truly a book about sex, drugs and rock and roll!  If you read The Catasy, or have already read it, let me know what you think!!  I personally can’t wait for the sequel to come out!

Product Review: Rain Cosmetics Perfect Cream Foundation

We’ve all heard about mineral makeup, but what many don’t realize is that there are many different kinds of mineral makeup and therefore very different levels of quality. When I hear mineral makeup, I think of the loose powder makeups that first came out. You can actually get pressed mineral makeup now!

I had the opportunity to get a makeover by Rain Cosmetics in April during the True Beauty Expo and was so impressed that I’ve since bought the foundation! They use fun Vegas names for most of their makeup, as they are based out of Las Vegas.

I bought their Perfect Cream Foundation, which is as close to perfection as I’ve seen!! It’s healthy for your skin, and gives you as much or little coverage as you want based on how you apply it. You can use a brush for full coverage, a wedge sponge for medium coverage and a moist sponge for light coverage.

Using the proper concealer and foundation will make a huge difference when you are in photos. I LOVE the airbrush look that I get from the foundation as much as knowing that it is great for my skin! It’s water resistant too, which is great for summer time and it lasts all day! When they did my makeup in April it lasted all day AND night through many events. Who could ask for anything better from their makeup?
